Gold Standard Strawberry Banana Whey Protein

Image

This stuff is the best!  It tastes so good that I actually CRAVE it!

To all you chicas that think protein will make you bulky and gain weight, think again!  With only 120 Calories, 1 gram of fat, 3g carbs, and 24g of protein, there is no way that this shake will fatten you up.  I drink 1.5 scoops for breakfast and I not starving by the time lunch comes.  Since summer is getting closer, I have also been replacing my lunch with a shake too.  Since protein breaks down slowly, it keeps me full and satisfied all day long!  They come in a lot of flavors and are all great!  This is the brand that I recommend to anyone.

Another great thing about these is that since I am always on the go, they are quick to prepare and drink.  Just add milk, shake, and breakfast is served!

I also recommend the Blender Bottle for your shaker because they use whisk technology which eliminates as many lumps as possible.

You can buy any of these products at any GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, or Bodybuilding.com.

Changes Coming To Birdsnestoftwo

As you may know, this is my first blog and I am very new at this. When I started birdsnestoftwo, I wanted to share my recipes and other things in my life. I am very happy using WordPress but would also like to give Blogger a try. Over the weekend I made the executive decision to start a new recipe blog on blogger. My new recipe blog is now at 86theonionplease.blogspot.com

I made this decision because my boyfriend despises onion. As a result, i never, ever cook with them. I feel my blog can go further with a niche.

From now on I will post mostly my product reviews, projects, home tips, workouts, and interests on birdsnestoftwo and recipes on 86theonionplease.

I will keep you up to date like this on any changes. I will try to post recipes on both. Let me know what you think. Especially you expert bloggers. Stay tuned?

Social media planning for your business; an endeavor easily avoided, vastly misunderstood, and overall, quite daunting. But make no mistake, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Wordpress, Google+, and the rest of the line-up shouldn’t be approached carelessly when using them to represent your brand and communicate with customers.

Buffalo Chicken Dip that Will Impress EVERYONE!

There are sooo many buffalo chicken dip recipes out there that it is really hard to choose which one to actually make.  Look no further!   I have made this one so many times now for many different occasions and have people coming up to me telling me how amazing it is.  A common response I get it, “I could dip everything in that”.  I even saw someone put it on their sausage and peppers, not kidding.  It really is that good and so easy to make.  When going to a friends house, I go to the dollar store and get the aluminum trays and finish it off in their oven.

I have made it with lowfat cheeses and in my opinion just as good.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Buffalo Chicken Dip Cook Time And Calories:

Estimated Difficulty Level: Easy

Estimated Cooking Time: 35 Minutes

Estimated Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Estimated Cooking Temperature: 350 degrees F

Estimated Calories Per Batch: 3099

Estimated Calories Per Serving: 194

Estimated Fat Per Batch: 264.9

Estimated Fat Per Serving: 16.6

Estimated Serving Size: 1/4 th cup

Estimated Servings Per Batch 16

Ingredients: (what you will need for the best buffalo chicken dip recipe) This is for a single batch

  • 1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breast (or approx 2-3 large chicken breasts)
  • 1 cup of ranch or blue cheese dressing.  I like Ken’s
  • 1 cup of Franks Original Red Hot (do not substitute this please)
  • 1 8 oz block of cream cheese (do not use fat free, 1/3rd less fat OK)
  • 1 package of fancy shredded sharp cheddar cheese (2 cups)

you will also need the following items to dip into the best buffalo chicken dip… Bite tortila chip, pita chips, pretzel chips, celery, or anything else you can thing of.

Here are your step by step instructions:

  • Boil your chicken breasts on the stove in a medium to large sauce pan, on medium heat about 30 to 45 minutes or until cooked all the way through and pre heat your oven to 350 F
  • While the chicken is boiling cut the cold cream cheese into cubes and place them into an 11.5″ x 8″ x 2″ Pyrex style baking dish lightly misted with buttered flavor Pam.
  • Evenly sprinkle the fancy shredded cheese on top of the cream cheese cubes.

  • Pour the 1 cup of ranch and the 1 cup of Franks Red Hot on top of the cheesy mixture and place the dish into the oven uncovered for 7 to 10 minutes

You will want to stir the mixture after about 7 to 10 minutes and put it back in the oven and bake an additional 7 to 10 minutes and stir until mixture and cream cheese is well mixed together.

  • While the mixture is baking and your chicken is done boiling you will want to shred your chicken. The best way to do this is by putting the pan into the sink and running cold water over the chicken to speed up the process, once cooled you may hand shred the chicken into a bowl

You are almost done

  • After the cheesy mixture is done baking and mixed together well you may now add the chicken, simply pour the chicken on top of the mixture, carefully stir the mixture well and cover with aluminum foil and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Once baked you can carefully pour into your serving bowl, garnish with green onion and celery and enjoy!

Super Bowl Treats

Super Bowl is less than a week away!  Being a Patriots fan in New Jersey, I am probably better off staying home and watching the game alone.  I am not quite sure what I am doing yet but one thing I know for sure is that I am going to be making these!

These are so cute!

I saw these on a blog Chef in Training.  There are so many great Super Bowl Party Appetizer and Treat Ideas that I won’t need to look any further for my treats!  I will be posting the ones I do make over the weekend!  Enjoy!

Chobani Greek Yougurt

Chobani is for sure a staple in our house. That and plastic spoons to take them to go. With my boyfriend and I both on the go, this is the prefect snack/breakfast. With 13g of protein, 160 cal and 2.5 grams of fat it’s also pretty healthy and will keep you full. Just watch the sugar content. Some flavor are way higher than others. Pineapple happens to be my favorite and pushing the sugar limit at 18grams. My loves favorite is strawberry. I’m not kidding when i say we go through about 20 of these a week. Give or take a few. I am always looking for where they are on sale. Its 11:40, I’m going to have one as a snack and take my lunch around 1. I usually bring one back to work with me too to have later on in the day. If you like yogurt, try these out. They are much healthier than the other regular yogurt. Once you have these, you won’t go back. There are brands of Greek but Chobani is the best.

McDonalds Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

I have recently been stopping at McDonalds on my way to work for an oatmeal. I have never been a big fast food person but I drive right past McD’s everyday and I have always been wanting to try the oatmeal. Today is my 3rd time having it for breakfast and it’s great every time. Also under 300 calories and keeps me full. I see that Dunkin Donuts has oatmeal too. I will be trying that soon and let you know whose is better. Stay tuned!

Costco’s Unreleased Coupon Book for Feb 2

Click here, to view Costco’s Feb 2 Coupons. There are some good ones. I’m so happy about the Lobster Bisque coup. I get it every time I go to Costco. It is amazing. I must say its better than some restaurants. They don’t skimp on the lobster either. It is about ten bucks for 2 containers, each container is two servings. Great weeknight meal. You can freeze the other container.

Cinnabon Cinnamon Buns from Costco

You will begin to see that I love Costco. I gave in a bought their cinnamon buns. They bake them there with the Cinnabon recipe and they are really the same. Not good for two people living here but if your having company these are an A +. Although, we didn’t have company this weekend i had to get them anyway. That is why we go to the gym. So friggen delicious.
